About Margaret Childs

Maggie Childs works is the Managing Editor of The Vienna Review. Born and partially raised in New York, she has lived in Vienna for 15 years. She has been a freelance travel and feature writer for publications such as Condé Nast Traveller, Gig Magazine, Austria for Dummies and various in-flight magazines. She has also co-authored Frommer’s Complete Guide for Austria 2011 and Frommer’s Vienna and the Danube Valley 2011. For the past 6 years she has been a stringer for The Associated Press Vienna office and has also worked as a TV correspondent for Press TV, in both cases with a focus on energy issues (IAEA, OPEC). She studied Philosophy at the University of Vienna, with a strong concentration of Economic Theory.
