“Eyes On” Photography Exhibition Fest Kicks Off

The “eyes on” Month of Photography presents 225 exhibitions and events in Vienna running through 30 November. Participating museums and exhibition halls include the Künstlerhaus, the Wien Museum, and the Museum of Natural History, as well as galleries such as Galerie Julius Hummel, and Galerie Hubert Winter.

The festival opens 29 Oct. with the opening of “distURBANces,” a joint exhibition produced by the European Month of Photography, at MUSA. The program highlights Anita Witek, a young Austrian artist, who uses photography to collage snippets of mass media imagery.
