City Closes Popular Club

This year has marked the closure of Market and Roxy, and now the Pratersauna too reports problems from the MA22, the Park and Wildlife division of the City of Vienna. The former brothel-turned-nightclub has been closed temporarily, with officials alleging a threat to Prater wildlife.

Pratersauna then took up temporary residence at the Badeschiff on the Danube Canal, but within a week were visited by the MA37, the division for Building Safety with an order to cease operation, on the grounds that the venue did not adhere to fire laws.

A hearing is currently underway but the club will reopen on 4 October.
