Literary Events: JulyAug 2013

From South Africa to Australia, from Cuba to Ireland, Romania, Vienna, and Cairo, this festival of poetry is still no complete journey, only offering poetical glimpses. A variety of poets and writers from Austria, Cairo, Romania and Australia will present their works at the Alte Schmiede. Bilingual readings include Florica Madritsch Marin’s “Întuneric fără grabă” (“Obscurity Without Hurry”), presented in German and Romanian, or Tarek Eltayeb’s Arabic and German reading of “Er in Erinnerung” (“He in Remembrance”). The evening culminates in a reading in English and German of John Mateer’s (Australia) “Poems from Elsewhere”. Free entry.
