STEWART O’NAN: SONGS FOR THE MISSING  

Stewart O’Nan’s award-winning fiction includes Snow Angels, and A Prayer for the Dying.  Granta named him one of America’s Best Young Novelists. This is his first visit to Austria. Robert Reinagl will be reading the German translation Alle, alle lieben dich (Rowohlt, 2009)

A lawyer by profession, Begley debuted as an author at the age of 58 and remains one of America’s most successful contemporary authors. Titles include his autobiography Wartime Lies (1992), and the novel About Schmidt (1996) made into a popular film with Jack Nicolson. His new book Dreyfus Case: Îles-du-Diable, Guantánamo, History’s Nightmare will be published in May 2009. Presenter: Gabriele Madeja, Program Director of Buch.Wien Festival.
