BOOK READING BY CONSOLO

Vincenzo Consolo will be reading from his book Lo spasimo di Palermo (Palermo, the Pain.) In German and Italian. In this third part of his trilogy, Consolo analyzes the decline of political values in post WWII Italy, the antagonistic craze after 1968, as well as the mafia power between Palermo and Milan.

OmU – MESSAGES FROM NO MAN’S LAND

A presentation of No Man’s Land of Drava Verlag from Klagenfurt, offering a space for literature created in a cultural ‘no man’s land:’ literature by migrants, refugees, minorities and ‘second generation’ citizens. 5th FESTIVAL OF LATIN AMERICAN POETRY IN VIENNA

Organized by the Latin American and Austrian Literature Forum, the goal of this event is to promote Latin-American literature in German-speaking countries and Austrian literature in Spanish-speaking countries. Antología  by Norah Zapata-Prill (Bolivia) will be presented by Enrique Moya and Birgit Weilguny. A reading in German and Spanish by Juan Bañuelos (Mexiko) and Friedrich Achleitner (Austria). This anthology includes works by the following writers: Juan Bañuelos (Mexiko), Friedrich Achleitner (Austria), Norah Zapata-Prill (Bolivia).
